The Barrister Ghanashyam Kalsekar Trust stands as one of the esteemed philanthropic institutions. Established on May 1, 2016, in the presence of Barrister Ghanashyam Gajanan Kalsekar, who served as the Managing Trustee alongside trustees Mr. Girish W. Firke and Mr. Rakesh Chavan, the Trust was founded shortly before Barrister Kalsekar’s departure to his heavenly abode. Prior to his passing in 2016, Barrister Kalsekar, as Settlor and Managing Trustee, transferred the majority of his estate to the Non-Testamentary or Living Trust, known as the G K Trust (Ghanashyam Kalsekar Trust). Barrister Kalsekar envisioned the Trust as a vehicle for advancing education, learning, and human rights, Environment & Animal Welfare through philanthropic endeavors.
G K TRUST's Pandemic Relief Drive
At this great hour of need, G K Trust has stepped in to provide relief by providing food to many people across the State by providing meal or packed grocery kits to the marginalized and low-income segment of the society comprising of daily wage workers, migrant labourers, construction site workers, and needy people at old age homes and night shelters.
G K TRUST's Cycle Donation Drive
The old bicycle donations are intended for poor students in villages whose schools are located at a great distance and whose parents are unable to afford the bus fare. Many students drop out of school for this reason. For the underprivileged, a cycle is a very useful means of transport since it requires very little maintenance and there are no running costs.
G K TRUST's Educational Kits Donation Drive
Education is a continuous and life changing process and we at G K Trust feel that no children should be deprived of their right to education. We need your support in providing Educational Kit for Children in need. This kit would comprise of the items - A school bag, Note Books, stationary items, Water Bottle, Lunch Box, School Uniform, Shoes etc. We would greatly appreciate donations towards single or multiple kits you make. Your contribution will help us to serve students in need.
